Another Fingermark Snapper caught last night when the tide is on the way up.

I started shore fishing since 1968. Mainly targeting big fishes from beach or jetty by surfcasting.

Another Fingermark Snapper caught last night when the tide is on the way up.

Another trip with little result. I caught a small Emperor fish. It was already dead when i wind back. My friend got a big eye travelly later. Bait used is fresh squid on a single hook short snood bottom feeder rig.

Friend caught a almost 2kg Cobia with octopus tentacle as bait on a long snood bottom feeder rig.

I caught a palm size fingermark snapper with squid as bait on a single hook short snood bottom feeder.

Caught this big eye Travelly when the tide is about to full. As the current had slow down, i choose to change to a short snood rig instead of the usual long one. It turn out i make the right choice.

Friend caught this almost 500g red snapper early this morning when the tide is on the way down. Bait is fresh squid on a long snood bottom feeder rig.

Caught this spotted croaker when the tide is on the way up. Rig is a double hook short snood bottom feeder as the current flow is slow. Bait is cut green eye squid strip.

Caught this palm size fingermark snapper when the tide was on it way down. Current was strong and bait is not so lasting.

Caught this table size grouper when the tide was on the way up. It took the bait from my newly self built surf rod. I only notice when i about to change bait. It was heavy when i wind back the line as the current is strong. I use my rod to lift it up.
