Along our shoreline, there are some poisonous fishes that you may caught. Or some fishes that have very sharp teeth that you must take extra care to handle it. So its better to know which type of fishes you can use hand to hold and avoid those poisonous type.
Stingray– this fish is one of the most poisonous one. It had one or two barb at the tail depend on the type. Always overturn the fish if your caught one and stay clear away from it tail. A stung by it barb will cause you severe pain for several days even after consult doctor. Some people may get shock and fainted. Always use a plier to remove it. Do not use bare hand as the barb is like a saw teeth, very sharp and can penetrate your hand easily.

Stripe eel tail cat fish( Swa Mua)– this fish is also very poisonous. It had three stings, one on the back and two on each side of the fin. If stung by it will cause severe pain and may need medical help. Always use a plier to remove it.
Spotted scad( Kim Kor)-All it back fin are poisonous. Any stung by it will cause you severe pain for day and night. Always stay clear of this fish.
Big mouth cat fish– Another poisonous one. Three barb one at the back fin and two on each side fin. Always use a plier to remove it. The poison on this fish can cause you suffer pain for days.

Marine cat fish(Ikan Duri)– Three barb one on the back fin and two on each side fin. Although not as poison as the above type but it will cause you pain for days if got stung. Once caught quickly use a plier to remove it first.
Queen Fish– The tiny barb at the back of the queen fish is all poisonous. A stung by it can cause you burning pain for hours. So always avoid to hold on it back. Even if the fish is dead. Especially small baby queen fish that caught by tamban jig.
Toad Fish– This fish had a barb on it back. Do not use your bare hand to hold on it. It can cause pain and bleed for hours. This fish the mouth also very powerful. A bite on your finger is no joke. Stay clear from the mouth.
Conger Eel– Although this fish is not poisonous, but it teeth is super sharp. A bite or slash by it can cause very bad wound bleeding non stop. Always stay clear of this fish if it is alive. This fish can stay alive without water for a long time.
Barracuda – Another fish with super sharp teeth. It can cut a bait fish into half with just a bite. Stay clear from this fish if it alive.
Gar Fish– It had a lots of sharp teeth like a saw on it mouth. Easily cut a bait fish into half. Any bite or slash by it will have multiple cut wound. Stay away if this fish is still alive.
