Date,: 16-01-2025. Time: 1400 hrs. Bait: Live kambong.
Always rain in the evening for quite a number of days. So today decide to go on a day trip as the tide is full around 12 plus. Setup to sets of tackles. Tide already turn down but still no tamban around. After some hard jiging, i caught a small kambong. Quickly use as live bait n lower it down. No action until around 2pm. I do a check on the bait n the live kambong is still active but the bottom bait gone. Change it, cast out n lower the live bait down. Just i was about to move away, my reel scream..haha..gar fish strike when i lower the live bait. I waited for awhile until it did another pull then i strike.( Always wait for the second pull if you guess its a gar fish took your bait. Allow it to swallow first before you strike. This is to avoid it throw out the bait if you strike too early). I use my rod to haul it up.
