This early morning caught this fingermark snapper by using a half tamban i scoop from a ribbon fish mouth. The ribbon fish caught a tamban and was just below my squid lamp. I try to scoop it but it escape and leave behind half part of the tamban bait. I had been using fresh squid tonight as i had no other bait but it just no bite. Surprisingly a half tamban work.

Went with friends on a long night fishing. Tide was going down. Current flow are strong. I caught a Golden cat fish about 1.8kg with a live cuttle fish as bait. Friend caught three palm size Fingermark snapper with squid as bait. I steam two snapper for lunch this afternoon without frozen it.

Caught this table size flat head fish when the tide is full. It took my whole kunning bait(yellow tail scad) and swallow deep into it stomach.

DeLiang Yee caught this 9.5kg long tail brown stingray with his newly bought Penn Ground Cast rod when the tide is full. The fish took the bait and run causing his reel alarm to scream. He pick up the rod and strike hard. The fish struggle awhile before Yee able to wind it in near the jetty. I gaff it up.

Friend Ah Poh caught this 1.7kg Hybrid Grouper by a handline with frozen squid as bait.

Tide is about to full. I just change the bait and cast down. Suddenly I saw my rod tip start to rattle. I pick up the rod and hold. Feel something taken the bait. I strike hard…zzzzzz..line started to run out..Yes..fish on. It take a short run then stop. I pump it up and wind back..It take another run but not far..I slowly wind back..It surface..a long tail stingray. I get my friend to hold my rod while i grab my rope gaff and bring it up.

Fish with two other friends. This is their contribution. A 2kg Grouper by frozen squid bait. Few palm size fingermark snapper and emperor fish.

Friend caught all this four fishes within a night out fishing. 980g Threadfin Salmon, 865g Golden Snapper and two plam size fingermark snapper. Bait use is fresh baby squid and green eye squid strip.

For pass two weeks, bait casted down at the jetty had not been lasting. It was finished up quickly by crabs and many other seabed creatures.

But last night thing had change. It was quite lasting from the evening with my first cast. Tide full and turn downward with a strong current flow. But the current start to slow down around 2300hrs. I look up my rod and saw it was shaking up and down. I went over to strike hard. Yes..fish ON.

Slowly wind back and up come a good size golden snapper 735g when weigh. It took my fresh herring bait.

Land this Big Eye G.T with a fresh night herring as bait. It took the bait and cause my reel to screech. Tide was on the way up and current flow was smooth.
