Another trip with little result. I caught a small Emperor fish. It was already dead when i wind back. My friend got a big eye travelly later. Bait used is fresh squid on a single hook short snood bottom feeder rig.

Caught this big eye Travelly when the tide is about to full. As the current had slow down, i choose to change to a short snood rig instead of the usual long one. It turn out i make the right choice.
Caught this spotted croaker when the tide is on the way up. Rig is a double hook short snood bottom feeder as the current flow is slow. Bait is cut green eye squid strip.
Date:01/06/2022. Time: 2240hrs. Rod: Shoreangler Fast 9.6ft. Reel: Daiwa Saltist 40. Rig: Long snood bottom feeder. Bait: Fresh Tamban(herring)
Caught this table size grouper when the tide was on the way up. It took the bait from my newly self built surf rod. I only notice when i about to change bait. It was heavy when i wind back the line as the current is strong. I use my rod to lift it up.
Date: 10-05-2022 Time: 0050hrs. Rod: Penn Slammer 10.6ft Reel: Shimano Torium 20 Rig: Long snood bottom feeder Bait: Live Cuttle fish
When I go there, the weather was good n cloudy. But a sudden rain change the whole things. When the rain started to fall and I pull up my squid light to avoid it get wet, I saw a small cuttle fish cling on to my tamban bait. I did not scoop it up as the rain is heavy.
After the rain, I check on it and it still cling on the bait even after forty five minutes of heavy rain with gusty rain. I scoop it up and hookup on my rod. I decided to cast at another spot as the guy who earlier occupied the place had ran off during the rain.
For almost three hours, I didn’t check the bait as I know it was live when I cast out. Its only when I thought of packing up that I wind back the line. I feel heavy and thought it could be rubbish as the southern wind had carry many floating rubbish on the sea.
End up it was a Fingermark Snapper about one kg and I use my rod to lift it up.
