Went for a short trip. Tide is already on the down side but current flow just started to move. As it still on day light, quickly jig for some live bait and down it go with two tackle set on bottom and cable car rig.
Just cast down the second rod and within five minute the alarm start to sound. Saw a queenie jump up on the water surface. Strike and wind back. Saw the hookup just on the corner of the mouth. Decide not to lift up by the rod. I get someone to hold my rod and I get my rope gaff. First try success. Three kilo it weighs.

I was busy fillet out the queen fish meat and didn’t notice any bite. It only when I finish and decide to change bait that I notice my line got stuck. I use my hand to pull it and out it come. I wind back and notice a gar fish on the end of the line. I use my rod to lift it up.
