We had spent the night there fishing….but only few small fishes caught…I left at 3am this early morning to take a rest in my mobile home and rejoin them again at 7.30am.
Tide was about to full…I had just change my bait as this morning it didn’t last….while washing my hand…I heard reel alarm went off….It was Ah Lai rod…..Ah Hong was beside it and he pickup and strike….YES..IT IS ON….Ah Lai didn’t put cable car rig….so it is a fish that take the bottom bait…Wow…I was thinking could it be a cobia again…
Truly…I saw the fish was swimming inward after the initial run….I straight away fixed up my gaff….Before my gaff was ready…the fish already reach infront of the jetty railing….It then make deep dive downward….luckily…Ah Hong was able to hold it up….By now Ah An is ready with his gaff….He try one but missed….I went over and Ah Hong had reposition the fish…I gaff it and bring it up….WOW…another Cobia landed within a week….It hit the scale at 7kg.
