Went there around 9am. The sea was very choppy due to the strong eastern wind. Tide is coming up and the current was smooth. Bait fish have but have to cast far out to reach them. Manage to get enough for my own use.
I cast out three sets of tackle with two bottom bait and one live bait on surface. Bottom bait was lasting but just no fish bite. It still the live bait that work. Around 11.30am, this gar fish took the bait causing my rod tip to rattle. I waited until it swallow the hook and jump up the water surface before i strike and wind in. Easily using my rod to lift it up.
After this i use another live bait and lower it down again. Another gar took it and i caught another one.(no photo). I stop using this method after this as I don’t want keep getting this fish. Both fishes is given to and old uncle(wak) there. He quickly cut both fish up and went home.
