Go for a short trip this morning. Tide is on the way up but current flow is slow. Bait fish is rare. Only caught a few. I use frozen one as bottom bait and live one as surface bait. Lucky the bottom bait was lasting so no need to change it often.
When the tide is full at 12 plus, I notice my rod tip rattle. I move closer to it and wait. Then the fish pull the line and my reel screech. I can see the fish jump up from the water surface. I wind it in and use my rod to haul it up. A nice size Gar fish. I gave the fish to a group of foreign work who was there enjoying the lunar new year holiday.
