Date: 01-06-2026

Tide is on the way up. Current flow just move awhile ago. I was changing bait on another rod when i saw a hard pull on the other rod. I guickly put down the rod n go n grab the other. The fish was so fast coming inward to the jetty that by the time i grab my rod, it already just below the jetty. It swim parallel to the jetty front that i had to cross six surf rods park at the railing before i can reach the fish position. It swim below the jetty n i had to pump it out to bring it to water surface. It a big barramundi. Friend Leong help to hold my rod n i go n grab my squid net to scoop it up. It weigh 4.4kg. Bait is fresh rebok fish on a long snood bottom feeder rig. Later in the night i hookup a palm size fingermark snapper.
