Date: 24-05-2019 Time: 1925hrs Rod: Shoreangler spinning surf 9ft. Reel: Silstar AT80 Rig: Long snood bottom feeder Bait: fresh herring
Reach the jetty around 6pm. Tide was on the lower end and the sea is choppy due to the strong southern wind. The water is full of rubbish floating on the slow current.
Manage to jig enough fresh bait and setup two sets of tackles both on bottom feeder rig. Bait is not lasting so every ten minute I had to change the bait.
Was lucky enough around 1925hrs i saw my spinning rod bend forward and back. I immediately grab hold and strike. Feel some weight at the end of the line. Slowly wind back and this fingermark snapper surface up. It was deeply hook and i use the rod to lift it up.
