Brown Eel

Date: 05-03-2021 Time: 1910 hrs Rod: Penn Slammer 9ft. Reel: CTS 12000

Rig: Long Snood Bottom Feeder Bait: Defrost Herring

As usual went for a short trip. I just brought four pieces of defrost tamban along as bait. Current flow was one way and fresh bait was totally zero caught. Anyway this few days the bait was quite lasting so the four baits should be able to last me for the short period.

True enough and it even reward me with a six foot length brown eel just after my second cast. I saw the rod tip rattle just after I park the rod. I waited for awhile before I strike. It feel heavy at the end of my fixed spool set and it jerk along the way when I slowly wind back.

It was too heavy to lift up by the rod so I grab hold of my leader and pull it up. A quick taken of photos and the fish was released back.
